Mission:
To provide peer support to all seeking recovery from substance use disorder.
Vision:
To support the journey of recovery by providing access to resources, promoting public awareness, educating, and training.
Value Statement:
At Lifeboat Addiction Recovery Services we believe that recovery is a human right and that every person deserves dignity, support, and a safe place to heal.
Lifeboat Addiction Recovery Services is a non-profit Recovery Community Organization.
While we’ve evolved over the years, one thing has never changed: we are people in recovery, helping others find recovery. Our shared experience drives everything we do, as we walk alongside individuals on their journey toward healing
Lifeboat Addiction Recovery Services began in 2017 with a simple mission—providing bus passes and hygiene supplies to individuals seeking help. What started small has grown into a comprehensive Recovery Community Organization. In 2020, we opened our first Recovery Network Center, which now serves as a central hub for peer-driven support and holistic recovery services.
Today, Lifeboat offers a wide range of programs, including Peer Recovery Coaching, transportation to and from recovery-related appointments, access to a fully equipped computer lab, and regular multiple pathway recovery meetings. We assist individuals in obtaining vital records, provide professional development opportunities, and conduct outreach to Lansing’s unhoused shelters. In addition, we are proud to support harm reduction efforts through ongoing Naloxone distribution.
No matter how much we’ve grown, our core remains the same: we are people in recovery, helping others find recovery.
Actually, 100% of Lifeboat's Staff Members and Board of Directors are people in recovery!
