You can meet one-on-one with certified professionals who have lived experience in recovery and are trained to support you in building your own roadmap to wellness. 

Our Peer Recovery Coaches understand the challenges you face because they’ve been there—and they’re here to walk alongside you every step of the way.

A Peer Recovery Coach can help you:

  • Identify meaningful goals in your life
  • Break those goals down into actionable steps
  • Recognize potential barriers to success
  • Connect with resources and support to overcome those challenges

Peer Recovery Coaching

We understand that reliable transportation can be a major barrier to recovery. That’s why we offer transportation services to help you get where you need to go—whether it’s inpatient treatment, intensive outpatient programs, therapy appointments, meetings, or any activity that supports your recovery.

What We Offer:

  • Local and intercity bus passes to help you stay connected to services 
  • Personal transportation using Lifeboat vans for appointments and recovery-related needs

Recovery Friendly Workplace Training

 Recovery Friendly Workplaces support their communities by recognizing recovery from substance use disorder/opioid use disorder as a strength and by being willing to work intentionally with people in recovery. RFWs encourage a healthy and safe environment where employers, employees, and communities can collaborate to create positive change and eliminate barriers for those impacted by substance use disorder.

We proudly offer high-quality recovery coach trainings in partnership with the Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR)—a nationally recognized leader in recovery education. These trainings are open to individuals at all stages of recovery, as well as professionals and community members who want to support others on their recovery journey.

Available Trainings Include:

  • Recovery Coaching Basics – A foundational course designed for anyone interested in recovery support
  • Spirituality and Recovery Coaching – Explore the role of spirituality in recovery and how to integrate it into coaching
  • Recovery Coaching and Professionalism – Learn the ethics, boundaries, and professional standards that guide effective coaching

    Our trainings are interactive, inclusive, and led by experienced facilitators. Whether you're looking to become a certified Peer Recovery Coach or simply deepen your understanding of recovery support, Lifeboat provides the tools to grow and lead with purpose.

 We’re proud to partner with shelters and community centers throughout the Lansing area to bring Peer Recovery Coaching Services directly to those who need them most. Our team visits these locations several times a week, offering personalized support, encouragement, and access to recovery resources.
